The Jean Muller Collection

The Jean Muller private archives collection reflects the entirety of his engineering career, from his studies beginning in 1944 to his definitive retirement in 2003.

Jean Muller placed great importance on preserving his archives, particularly the preparatory work, mostly handwritten. The collection mainly consists of studies and technical calculation notes for civil engineering structures, completed or not, internationally. It also includes numerous plans and photographs, a very large volume of slides (more than 16,000), as well as documentation and some administrative material. Since much of his career took place internationally, most of the documents are in English.
Once fully inventoried and incorporated into the Yvelines Departmental Archives, the collection will be accessible for consultation in the reading room. The extensive photo library, whose digitization was made possible through sponsorship, will be made available online on this site.

Jean Muller has left a vast legacy, not yet fully explored or understood by future generations of engineers.
